They are used to maintain and propagate useful plant material for research and to set up experimental studies under semi-controlled conditions. They also house two tanks for growing aquatic plants.<\/span><\/p>\n The structures, each 16m\u00b2<\/span> in size, are made of tempered glass and galvanized steel. Optimal temperatures for the growth of plants are ensured by a thermostatically controlled system consisting of internal and external covers to regulate the insulation and pitched openings for ventilation. The greenhouses are also served by a programmable drip irrigation system.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n The openings consist of 2 sliding entrance doors and 2 <\/span>upper awning windows, equipped with electric motors for opening adjustment (manual\/thermostatic). The control panel with the thermostat makes it possible to maintain a constant temperature and proper ventilation inside the greenhouse.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n The greenhouses are also equipped with shade covers, one inside and one outside, made of a heat-shielding mesh, each consisting of 2 extendable sheets controlled by an electric motor (manual\/thermostat).<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Inside each greenhouse there are 4 counters on which to place pots containing the plants being tested.
