As part of the “Copernicus dialogues,”<\/strong> a joint initiative between the CNR’s International Relations Office<\/strong> and the Polish Academy of Sciences<\/strong> in Rome, a workshop<\/strong> entitled “Enhancement of nature-based solutions for sustainable agriculture and ecosystem health”<\/strong> will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 <\/strong>, at the Polish Academy’s headquarters in Vicolo Doria 2<\/strong> in Rome<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The workshop is organized<\/strong> by a number of CNR<\/strong> Institutes <\/strong>(IRET, IRSA, ISB<\/strong>), jointly with the leadership of the Polish Academy in Rome, and aims to provide an overview of the current cooperation between Italian and Polish scientists in the field of the sustainable use of resources, natural solutions for decontamination of water and soil, and production of healthy agricultural products<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

In addition, the initiative aims to discuss<\/strong> key thematic lines of<\/strong> common interest, improve<\/strong> mutual networking<\/strong> and strengthen<\/strong> cooperation<\/strong> to address future project initiatives at the national and European levels. In particular, ongoing<\/strong> projects<\/strong> will be presented<\/strong> in order to promote broader initiatives, including, for example, joint proposals under Horizon Europe and COST Actions<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

A part of the workshop will be devoted to a panel <\/strong>discussion to discuss research results<\/strong> within the European-level perspectives<\/strong> and strategic lines of<\/strong> development of Nature-Based Solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Due to the limited capacity of the venue of the Polish Academy in Rome, the workshop<\/strong> can only<\/strong> be enjoyed remotely<\/strong> by connecting without the need to register at the link https:\/\/l.cnr.it\/polishitalianworkshop<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

The workshop is organized by CNR Institutes (IRET, IRSA, ISB), jointly with the PAS management in Rome. It aims to provide an overview of the current cooperation between Italian and Polish scientists in sustainable use of resources, natural solutions for the decontamination of water and soil, and the production of healthy agricultural products.
