Scientific outreach is crucial to strengthening and creating a society that is informed, curious and interested in research activities and technology.
All 11 Institutes of the Rome Territorial Research Area 1 (ARRM1) actively participate in multidisciplinary science dissemination initiatives that are carried out both inside and outside the Area and that aim at achieving the following objectives:
- Provide to the public access to scientific information in an understandable form at informal and festive events
- Promote a knowledge-based culture, counter scientific misinformation, and provide accurate and effective evidence-based information
- Facilitate public dialogue and participation and create a bridge between the scientific research community and the public by promoting a shared scientificpolicy
- Stimulate students’ interest in topical scientific issues by involving them in outreach, through projects such as I4Science, Il Linguaggio della Ricerca and other initiatives. These events and activities will encourage students and the public to actively participate in STEM subjects – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
- Stimulate the generation of innovative ideas and solutions to scientific and technological problems that benefit both the scientific community and society as a whole.
Follow our dissemination activities (Open Days, Open Laboratories, European Researchers’ Night, Research Language, Pathways for Transversal Skills and many others) carried out thanks to the very diverse expertise of ARRM Institutes in collaboration with external partners.
And share ARRM1’s passion for science and festive events with us!
